hahaha I totally agree. A 13-month year would be perfect because it follows the lunar cycle of exactly 28 days. It makes such logical sense. But noooo... trust the Church to go and mess everything up. They didn't agree with the "pagan" calendar and 13 was considered unlucky so 12 months it is... with some spare change, which makes everything quite complicated. _________________

Being of asian ancestry, I go by both lunar and gregorian calendars...it's quite a pain to keep track of the lunar calendar though. But on another off-topic note: 13 is a lucky number in asian culture! 12 is good too - in cantonese, its homophone is almost like "very easy".
-- END OFF TOPIC --
Why is it that the cms and kgs don't mean much to me? Is it because I can do a rough conversion in my head? lol. _________________ ~Arie

Hahaha, lets all ditch the is it Gregorian calander and start our own Tamaskan Calander, lets let the dogs decide what day it is. Can anyone spell anarchy........
And yes, I find people do look at me strange when I say he is 7 months, 2 day and 3 hours old, followed by the growth charts and obligatory photo show..... LOL.
These boys do indeed seam quite large. We are definitly in the top 5 biggest dogs in the local area, can not wait to see what size Diesel will end up. But I am going to hazard around the 40-50kg mark depending on how long he continues to grow.
And we are now getting loads of people muttering to each other ' Look at that, it looks like a wolf..' |

WHen DIesel was a pup people though he was a GSD.
Now I mainly get husky cross, but some ask if he is NI or UTE.
But I will always remember one guy on the train conviced that Lynn had lied to me and that he was simply a collie of somekind.
I asked him to politly keep his wasted breath to himself. |

...Wow. Since when do people go calling dogs that aren't theirs a whole 'nother breed? It's like trying to call a chihuahua a komondor. No disrespect intended to any breed, though - I was merely trying to give extreme examples. _________________ ~Arie

OK, Diesel was 8 months on the 19th.
It seams the last month he has done little in terms of growing up, and been concentrating alot on starting to fill out. Still weight gain has also slowed.
Height 68 cms
Weight 28 KG.
Funny sometimes his head looks really small and his body looks to big for his legs, and other days he looks all leggy with a massive head. Haha |

Just weighed and measured Jasper:
27 kg
68 cm
Looks like he's past the main growth spurt but he still has quite a bit of filling-out to do... _________________

Hi all,
Onai latest stats....height 70cm, weight 24.8 kg. This appears to be a bit lighter than the others, hopefully he will stop growing upwards soon and start growing outwards.
He is doing well with his exercise routine, and continues to slowly improve week by week. _________________ Annette and Gary |

Tala was weighed on Wednesday and was 20.4kg but measuring her height is tricky as she is just too bouncy at the mo! _________________ You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!' |

I am amazed that Wave is now weighing in at 36.8kg or 81lbs, YIKES. He was 7 months old on 9/4/09.
I now know why it hurts my chest when he hurls himself up on my body when my alarm clock goes off...and I have not removed myself from the bed! LOL He does not like the alarm clock & lands on top of me, licking my face non-stop.............until I get up & out of bed.
Wave does NOT know he weighs 81lbs & acts like he is a lil' lap puppy most of the time. Jeez, someone needs to break the news to him that he is BIG, REAL BIG......and soon |

Oh dear...perhaps you should discourage him from doing that somehow. lol. I'm worried for your safety. In a few more months, he could well be 100lbs. O_O _________________ ~Arie

Wow! That is incredible! He must be almost 10KG heavier than Jasper, who is 10 months old. Wave is going to be massive! _________________

Freyja now weighs 75 pounds and is 27 inches tall. (~34kg & 68.6cm)
She's a little monster
Oh, I should add that she's ~9 months old. _________________ __________________

Is she the biggest female from the Tarheel litter? Sounds like it anyhow!
I am taking Wave out tomorrow & 1 of our travel stops is to weigh him. He is just too big to even attempt to weigh at home now. My dog trainer came by yesterday, after not seeing Wave for several weeks, and was blown away by his size. Of course, I did not think he looked that different? Big is big, right? He has not stopped being BIG since I brought him home Same story, different day |

Well, I think she was at birth. I'm not sure about now. But believe me, she is not the least bit chubby--she's quite lean (on purpose on our part to try and help her hips)
I think she may be heavier than Tundra now... _________________ __________________
