Hi Everyone
Now its our turn to show off put new baby!
Aplologies if the quality is not so great but Gary is learning how to use a new camera with no sleep. Onai decided it was fun to play at 1,3,5,and 7 this morning and am trying to convince Gary and our neighbours that we did buy a Tamaskan not a howler monkey/!!!!! But you cant be cross with him as he sooooooo cute !
Onai was introduced to our Estrela Mountain Dog Zeta today ...... we think they have come to an understanding, she will tolerate him as long as he doesnt chew her ears, paws, tail .... you get the picture!
Good luck to all the new parents and If you are up at 1,3,5 and seven tomorrow morning then maybe send us a post !!
Thanks again to Lynn Susi and co for the sleepless nights.... whoops mean adorable puppy x

Props to Gary for being able to operate a camera with no sleep! I couldn't take a decent picture with sleep. haha.
Congrats on being a new (sleepless) parent!
What does the name Onai mean? Care to share?
If you edit out that toy and what I assume is Gary's hand, you could use the picture caption: "Yarr matey, you want a piece o' me?" _________________ ~Arie

Hi All
Onai is Tamil for.......... Wolf!
Guess what we doing at 5 this morning ....... yes taking pictures of Onai finally asleep.!!!! He was waking every hour, we started by being tough and let him cry to see if he would settle down by himself.......an hour later with our hearts torn in two we were concerned that our neighbours would think a howling banshee had moved into the street so we gave in!
We have a strategy today that we will keep him awake and playing for a long as possible in the hope that he will be tired enough tonight to sleep for more than a hour at a time.
Her are some of the pics we took of Onai and Zeta together

They look gorgeous asleep don't they, an under-rated state I think!! I had the same plan as you yesterday!!
As Bru will not have anything to do with Tala and therefore doesn't help in wearing her out, I took Tala to visit my brothers dog, who is a bonkers jack russell cross who never sits still. Half an hour of Tala and she went and hid in her crate!!
Good news though is that it did seem to wear Tala out and managed to get at least 2-3 hours sleep in one go!!
Need to find another victim today! |

Hi all.
Onai is doing fine, he is up to 5.5 kg now and full of mischief as you can see by his face!. Like the others he still decides to instantly go for a wee even if he just went 15 mins earlier. We are very keen to work out how Lynn managed to get such a great photo of susi's litter altogether, we struggle with just one!. Gary thinks she must have used superglue as Onai seems to know when the camera is out and his que to move rapidly out of shot. Will try to get some more pics of the little man soon and am looking forward to seeing more pics of his brother and sisters.Take care everyone, bye for now.

We couldn't resist showing all new puppy owners this... it just about sums it all up. You take the good time expense and trouble to give them the best love, toys ,food, play and a warm safe place to sleep which can be kept clean...... and where does the little****** lie down...... on a 5 pence disposable puppy pad typical!

Haha! Oh so true. And looking a few posts up you can see Onai's paws in the pic. Dear god did you buy a horse?! LoL. Those things are almost hooves. Maybe when he grows up you can ride him to work. (Its always been a running joke in my family that if I got a large breed dog I could ride it to work since I'm short) _________________ "Don't feel bad, It could be worse. You could be a worm. It looks like Zeta has fallen in love! They are like a mirror image of each other! I think it will still be some time before Bru and Tala sleep near each other! |

What lovely pictures of Onai. We have found that having another dog definetely helps wear Elkie out and saves us being mauled about because she's so busy pulling Steffis' ears, snapping at her legs and chewing her tail! The downside is that Steffi is having a second puppyhood!
We all sound like very proud, but worn out, parents!! |

I love the last picture! They look so peaceful together... which one is officially in charge? I've been trying to figure out which of my dogs (when I get my Tamaskan) will be in charge, and I'm leaning toward the miniature dachshund. _________________ Chandres |

Hi everyone,
Onai is coming along well, thought we would put a more recent photo of the our "not so little man". He is now 18.5 weeks old, 15.3 kg and is approx 54-55 cm high(he loves standing on scales but hates being close to the tape measure!). Have also put in the photo of him doing the sit/stand trick ha ha. Will put the data on groth profile thread to.
oh dear it seems that i can't download any images will try again later!!.

Wow, he is looking great.
Diesel is really having a hard time with teething. Quite a bit of blood the other day. Well not loads, but more than I expected. He has all front grill and canines, and now the rear teeth are coming through. Managed to find 8 of his teeth so far on the floor or in toys.
And yes, them big teeth really hurt when they catch you at play. I have some lovely bruises. Hehe. |
