Cor blimey. He must have about 4 more KG than Diesel, and he is a big boy. But Wave is 10 weeks younger!
I hope you have shares in a dog food company. LOL. Diesel munches through 600-700 gram of kibble a day atm and still looks really lean.
Be very interesting to see at what weight and height Wave levels out on. |

Dont forget to bring her with you on Saturday and I will be able to tell you how she looks size wise. Cant wait to see her anyhow. |

I hope my Wave doesn't have like a super duper mutant gene that is making him HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think he might have a distant relative that was possibly a giraffe?
There is not 1 human being that does not walk into my home & comment how "awesome, huge, and intelligent" my boy is...........he is not fat at all...all legs VERY tall legs
My other 2 pups look like they are tea cup poodles compared to him |

I have to even remind myself that he is still a "pup" under 6 months of age WHILE he walks around in this HUGE body................
He is the most loving sweetest oversized pup around........he is very very loved & appreciated |

We took Wave to Lawson's Creek in New Bern. He absolutely LOVES the water. He also loves every dog, person, etc on this planet. I think Wave loves to LOVE Every person we meet along the way is enchanted by his good looks and his awesome friendly good nature. If he would ONLY stop putting his nose up every persons BUTT we meet he would be the perfect pup
His weight has continued to remain at 70lbs and his height is at 27" now....perhpas a lil' taller but he has not gained any weight.

I agree, they do seem to look more wolfy when wet. I think it gives the illusion of a longer, thicker coat |

His eyes are so ever changing. Wave does not have the yellow eyes of his mother (Tundra) but a combination of Tundra & Blaze. Thats the best way for me to describe it? Mix the yellow with the brown eyes & you get Waves eye color? Hmmm...........a light tan color? with a hint of yellow in the sun? or a hint of brown indoors? Whatever color it actually is, it is never anything BUT beautiful.
I am cleary CONSUMED by true blue Tamaskan love I feel sorry for all the peeps that have not had the opportunity to own a Tamaskan
My Wave is trying to grow taller & bigger............I am, reluctantly watching, my other 2 dogs shrink, shrink, shrink down as he becomes JUMBO sized. I refuse to bring out the tape measure again until September. I think he has actually grown another inch in the last few days! He is def taller and def thinner. I do not want to have the worlds tallest Tamaskan !!!! LOL
He is 100% joy to our household |

I LOVE the new photos! Wave is one beautiful pup! I agree with the post about wet Tamaskans - they definitely look more wolf-like. Wyatts eyes also seem to change color depending on the light and the surrounding environment. We just got back from vacation where Wyatt had a blast swimming and hiking (photos to come). Wyatt also loves everyone and everything. I still can't get over how much bigger Wave is though!!!!

How much does Wyatt weigh now?
I think Waves big size was detrimental to those big ears of his If you look at those super cute pic's of all of the pups just prior to 8wks all of them look the same size & their ears are standing excepts Waves. My Wave's ears weren't standing & he was clearly taller than his littermates If his ears would've been standing then he would've looked a lil' funny compared to his littermates
I measure out Waves food every single day too! just to make sure he is not getting too much of his much loved TASTE OF THE WILD. He goes bonkers over his food at every meal....which is 2 x daily right now.
He just keeps getting bigger & bigger & smarter & smarter. |

Such a lovely dog, great size.
Man, its gonna cost you a small fortune to feed these monsters.
I have Banjo at 23 kilo and he eats a whole chicken aday pretty much. Or a kilo of kibble and tripe was what he was on before.
Now imagine Wave, he will prob be around 40-50 kg I should say, DAM - I hope you have shares in Taste of the Wild. You say you weigh your food? How much are you feeding them? I have Diesel on 2 x 270 grams of kibble and 100 grams of really good, homemade wet food or tripe.
And whilst we on these premium foods, anyone else notice all the premiums like TOTW and Orijen all contain Egg. Bit useless if your dog is allergic. Which mine aren't, but just a thought. _________________ Submitting to the Tamaskan charm. Nick is dominated by Diesel and Banjo! Wo Woo Wooooo |

I am going by the packaging of TOTW for his age/size:
oz pounds grams kg
40 oz 2.5lb 1134g 1.1kg
I divide the above into 2 meals for each day. I am so glad I changed him to the TOTW diet...it has been awesome. Worth every penny. I figure too that the amount he gets now is the max amount considering it will drop starting with his 8th month of age.
I look back on my previous postings and I have said multiple times "I think he's slowing down......" I really wasn't expecting him to be this big at this age anyhow?
I am glad we started his training at 12wks considering his size now. Jeez, he about knocks you over if he jumps on you. My poor boy doesn't seem to understand how big he is either, I think he believes he is the size of a lap dog. |

Cool,
I have found TOTW in the UK. I am going to alternate the dogs between TOTW and Orijen.
It was nice to actually find a store that stocks them both and hold both of them as being the best food available. Although he does find he has to feed more TOTW than orijen.
For eg, Diesel is 68 lbs and gets 540 grams of Orijen and 200grams of good wet a day, split into 2. He always leaves a slight amount which he would normally graze on through out the morning, but this has to be removed as Banjo will eat it.
Strange how 2 foods, very similar in all aspects, can vary so much on feed amounts.
I need to start eating as good as our doggies do. Although I think I would be the size of a house eating all that quality grub. _________________ Submitting to the Tamaskan charm. Nick is dominated by Diesel and Banjo! Wo Woo Wooooo |

I would've prefered the Orijen 1st before the TOTW but it was not available in my area. I am fortunate to be able to get the TOTW locally though. It is strange on the amounts too. I would think the higher quality would require less amounts......which makes me think the Orijen is the better quality etc.
Wave is SO BIG. Its like "wow...he grew again" everday that I come home from work I refuse to weigh or measure again until September I guess I am in denial? I am sure my doggie door will have to be upsized along with everything else. He has got to be nearing 80lbs by now too. Got to be.......he is getting taller too. His height is suppose to max out soon, right? |

Here is a lil' clip of Wave while I was at work. My computer mouse was destroyed the other day so I set up the motion detector video on my computer to see which 1 of my beloved dogs was responsible. I already figured it was Wave......... I did not realize how much he liked to sit in my chair or get on top of the desk, though. |

hahah love the video! That is exactly the same kind of stuff Wyatt likes to do! We've decided that perhaps Wyatt thinks he is a cat the way he climbs on things, jumps onto the counters, and sleeps under the bed (which requires military style belly crawl!). We finally got around to weighing him, he is up to 55lbs. We are feeding him Evo and hes doing really well on it. |

I am so happy to see wyatt, wave, and others here They are all growing so big and even more beautiful. They were a lovely cross between Blaze and Tundra. I love the eyes...I can still close my eyes and see 9 pups going bonkers in my kitchen...lol! Kana is doing the snake like, belly crawl when she is sneaking around or down off the sofa. They act like total clowns and keep us laughing at all times.
I gotta share a funny with all you Tam lovers out there... I was watching papa Blaze outside the other day and he had his eyes on a carpenter bee who was buzzing still and hovering at about 5 ft above the porch. Blaze stood on his two hind legs and walked about 10 feet over (like a human...or circus dog ) to try and catch the bee in his mouth. His front legs looked relaxed, like he had lots of practice at this! I almost fell over out of my chair at that site. He totally forgot he was not human and walked over like it was nothing to try and get that bee!!! I am always amazed at how smart these guys are! It really freaked out the bee and it realized it's match and took off! That dog walked all the way on our porch on his hind legs...I just can't believe what I saw...he's not the tiniest of Tams! I will occasionally look out and see him "sitting" in a chair like he's a human being and watching the yard. Toooo funny! Tundra and Blaze both watch the fish in the backyard pond go around and a few...ahemm...fish have become snacks. Yes, they like the fresh fish
Hope all are well...nice to see all the posts! I hope we can all have a reunion someday.
