|
|
After a lengthy day of flying and driving, Sookie (Tarheel's Hattaras Light) completed her cross-country journey and arrived safely in Seattle on Thursday night. She's adorable and has been adjusting to her new surroundings remarkably well.
Our rag doll cat still isn't quite sure what to make of being chased around the house, but seems to enjoy observing the puppy from a safe distance away.
Sookie's already met a number of other dogs and will be meeting an enormous bull mastiff tonight, which should be fun.
Thanks Tina, John, Tundra and Blaze -- Sookie is happy and we're in love!

Adorable pup! I am happy to see pictures of another Tarheel Tunddra/Blaze puppy on the forum. I have Wave (Rodanthe's Wave) and was hoping to see his litter mates on here. Which one was she as in "color collar"?

Wave was the black collared pup
Your pup started off early with being photogenic.....loved the pic of her when she was 2wks old on the Tarheel website. I was very blessed to get to meet all the puppies on April 1st when I picked up Wave. She is a very pretty girl. I am sure you will hear that many multiple times!! |

Aaaww she really is very pretty!
The thing I've noticed with Tamaskans is that they become better looking with age, but it looks like your little girl has got a real head start. _________________ "Maybe tomorrow I'll wanna settle down." |

I notice her laying by her food bowl... does she eat that way too? Juneau is the only dog I know that lays down at his bowl to eat. Do other Tams do that as well? Anyone? |

OMG No!! Lying down surely that would make gobbling food down much slower! Tala eats every meal as if we starve her! |

She lays down to drink fairly often, but only lays down to eat on occasion - typically after she's tuckered herself out playing with another dog (and only if the other dog isn't around to compete for the food). |

Funny, we were just looking at the updated pictures you posted and were commenting about how similar Sookie looks to Takeia (which is great, because Takeia is gorgeous!) |

Wyatt lays down to eat too!!! And he also likes to play with his food - he'll chase little pieces all over the kitchen! |

Juneau plays with food also. I find it all over the house in hidden places! Most often in the couch! |

Diesel likes to lie to eat also, but he tends to get sick if he does this. So I have him a bowl that is raised so he stands to eat. Doing great.
Great pics btw, such a lovely pup! |

Hmm...kibble-hockey. That must be fun to play (for Freyja) and very amusing to watch. Haha. _________________ ~Arie
