Freyja is missing a patch of skin on her rear heel pad. There is no discharge and no odor. No blood or irritation. It's just dry. I'm thinking that she maybe stepped in some hot tar the other day (some parking lots are tar and chip here), and when it dried she pulled it off, along with a layer of skin.
Should I put anything on it for her? I can only imagine that she'd lick it off if I did. Vaseline? Nuskin? (like a super glue for skin)
Thanks!

Aloe Vera would probably help and I don't think it would be too harmful if she licked it off.

2 of my dogs have the same problem at the moment from breaking loose just the other day.
I checked for glass and stuff but there is no wound, cleaned it with soda and left it like that. It will heal. But you can use some softening like aloe vera on it.
