Hi all,
As you can see my name is Kirstie, I have been doing a lot of research about Tams and think the breed is fab. I currently have a puppy Ute so arn't looking to purchase anytime soon but was wondering if it was possible to own a Ute and a Tam together. Hope to hear back any help and advise would be brilliant. Oh and if i do want to own a Tam who's is the best person to contact regards this?

Hi Kirstie. You dont disclose where you live next to your avatar???
Regarding Tamaskan and Utonagan living together. I personally would be very worried incase they interbred (by accident perhaps) Is your Utonagan male/female/castrated/neutered? |

Karen the reason I have asked if they could be kept together is because I know the back ground of both of them and wondered if breeders would have a problem selling a Tam to a Ute owner. Nothing to do with the breed itself as I know they are very similar.
Blustag I currently have a male Ute on a neutering contract who will be done when of age (1yr ish) and I wont be looking for a Tam untill after this plus I will be looking for another Male so no interbreeding would happen. This is why i was asking about keeping them together because I realise breeders worry about their breed and dont want things like interbreeding happening. Sorry I didnt have where am from or anything on my Avatar shiney new.

Ah! Ok
Well, if I remember correctly there is an other ute owner on the former who is waiting (or maybe already has) a tamaskan.
I don't have a ute, but wolfdogs, husky's and a malamute cross together with 2 tamaskans. I just make sure they don't breed between each other. The adult females are neutered, the 2 female puppies will also be neutered. The males are not neutered. _________________

My little guys spends a lot of time with various types and sexes of dogs/bitches from french bull dogs to terriers and cross breeds and not had a problem as yet he seems to get on with any animals from rabbits to chickens which is good.
Karen what type of wolfdogs do you have I love them but my other half is not as knowledgable as myself about these breeds but has said a big fat no to anything with wolf in it ?? |

Hi Kirstie - welcome. I think we should all start again. Blufawn is joking. Dont worry there are other Utonagan owners on this forum and we all live happily together .
Your puppy is gorgeous. Whereabouts in the UK are you? _________________ Fiona

We are just back from our holidays in Whitby. We have a caravan and take the dogs. I love it there, the beaches are great. Not that my geography is too good, but I know it is in Yorkshire. Never been to Wales though.
Any pics of mum and dad? _________________ Fiona

Am not sure where Whitby is as my geography is just as bad lol all I know is I live about 10miles from scotch corner lol and not that far from Newcastle. I love Wales my OH is Welsh and my parents moved to South West Wales about a yr back in the middles of no-where with lots of land and animals so its perfect for Maska (my little guy) he get to play with everyone. So we want to moved down there and do the same as my parents have in the future. I dont have any pics to hand of his mum and dad but his mum is Sulin Cariad @ Donehogawa and his dad is Storm @ Katoriesland they are a right pair of beauties. |

He's lovely. It's such a shame they grow up so quick. I wish mine were babies again. _________________ Fiona
