So my friend bought a husky puppy nearly two months ago for 600 pounds. It was advertised as KC registered, but when she collected him the papers were not yet back.
After chasing things up it emerges that this pup will never be KC registered. The information about the pups parents on his pedigree form has been falsified and we will never know what exactly the little chap is.
My friend loves him to bits and he is great friends with Dash, but he's still not worth the amount she paid for him.
She is going through trading standards so fingers crossed. She got him near Birmingham and have since been informed that there is a ring of so-called breeders churning out husky pups - BEWARE!!
I told her to wait until your sibe had pups Lyn, but she wanted one there and then!!

Oh dear sad that. If she sends me a pic then I can perhaps give her some info or at least let her know if it is pure or not.

Very sad.. sounds like a possible Puppy Mill pup. They're always falsifying paperwork. Did your friend actually go to visit the breeder's kennels in person? Were the pup's parents there to be viewed?

Man oh Man! Kinda like buying your first car...you fall in love with it and will do anything to get it as soon as possible...impulsive purchasing, I think everyone has suffered from that, I feel for her....

I hope your friend gets some resolution. Nice of Lynn to offer to help....she's always been true to me Very Happy

The concern should not be with how much was paid for the puppy

the concern should be the puppy's health

if the pedigree lines have been falsified, there may be a possibility of hip dysplasia, hereditary disease, eyes etc

Sadly this puppy still needs the love and attention just as much as any other.
if she bought the puppy through false pretenses & mis representations, then she needs to make others aware and she can do this through many means without the worry of being sue'd as long as she is simply telling the truth.

perhaps she should also have looked more closely on where she was buying this puppy, as sadly today its a minefield when searching.

I agree completely. Sadly there are a lot of people in UK breeding huskies to malamute and God knows what else and selling them for huge amounts of money under the stupid designer names such as huskamoot etc. Bit like the wolfweiller mentioned in another post. I just wish people would take more care when selecting their puppies of whatever breed.
