The California State Fish and Game Commission’s proposed regulations: State hearings on October 1, 2009 could eliminate due process and allow officers to seize pets if they “look” related to a wild animal.

This affects any “wolfy” looking canine, i.e. Tamaskans, Utonagans, Siberian Husky, German Shepherds, Northern Inuit Dog, Wolf Dogs, Akitas, Belgian Shepherds….

This is exactly why having all your paperwork for your Tamaskan is so important and buying from breeders who DNA profile their breeding stock so you can prove parentage.

Sounds a lot like our own dangerous dogs act. I hope it doesn't work in the same way. For example, in the uk, it doesn't matter if you can prove that the parrents are kc reg staffy's, if the pup looks type, it is conciddered to be, and will be siezed if found. It is then up to the owner to fight for their dog.

I'm getting sick of idiots introducing bsl, which, in the end doesn't work. They should be dealing with idiot owners, not banning breeds or types.

Micro Chipping would also be a big help in identifying your Tamaskan and not assuming it is a Wolf or Hybid
