Just had this sent to me this morning.... It appeared in a local Scottish newspaper and the only person breeding up there is Liz (Alba) who is no longer associated with us.
WOLFWEILLER PUPS Rotweiller and Tamaskan cross. Beautiful dogs. Parents can be seen with pups. Homes to be vetted. £350 each Telephone 07767 408797 (m) INVERNESS
I have tried to phone the number but it is switched off. I will phone again. Perhaps it is not a Tamaskan (hopefully) but I will find out. If anyone else wishes to phone them and ask questions feel free. If one is not a Tamaskan it may make them think about using our breed to make money. I shall certainly be speaking to them when I can get through. |

I know not related, but I remember seeing Tamaskaslavians (tam x Czeck) being sold in scotland when I was looking for Diesel.

I can think of one worse combo, Maybe you didn't hear about this one. RPK breed a Tamaskan and a Shibu Inu The Shibu Inu was the female and they were advertizing this pup as a Shamaskan Inu the only one in the world, like they were proud of it. _________________ John

Finally got through to the chap advertising the cross Tamaskan puppies and he has a male Tamaskan dog that he got from Liz (Alba) and crossed it with his Rotty female. He was angry when I told him who I was and told me it was none of my business. Yes he is right of course. Just thought I would let you all know. This is the second Tamaskan coming out of Alba that has fallen into the wrong hands. Who knows how many more there are. It was by pure chance I got the copy of advert sent to me as I am at least an 8 hour drive from the area. |

OMG this is just so sad and I cant believe that Liz is selling to anyone and not vetting them. To her she just doesnt care on the welfare of the dogs she just in it for the money.
Why do people have to inter breed with other breeds like this and the combination is not good how to ruin a Tamaskan huh
I am utterly discussed really am

It could be an accident, but why would he put 'WOLFWEILLER PUPS' in the add, this way it does sound like he is selling some kind of designer dog. Hoping these puppy's will get a nice home.. _________________ -Rahne-

I did mention this to him on the phone and as soon as I did is when he got very nasty. He said he can advertise his pups anyway he wants. I told him there was no wolf in the Tamaskan and that this was misleading the public. I feel that it was no accident. |

Or by actually putting wolf blood into the Tamaskan and crossing a Timber wolf with a Tam My blood is boiling! _________________ __________________

Hhhmmmmm.
Why do people want to undermine such a beautiful dog?
This really does depress me, but I suppose it's almost inevitable as the breed gets more and more popular. Clearly there are people out there that are only interested in the 'wolf' thing from a machismo point of view. They want to go mixing up Tams with the so-called 'muscle-dogs' and it may result in the Tamaskan getting saddled with similar reputation. I hope not.
For myself (still in love with Two Socks after all these years) and I'm sure everyone here on the forum, we all love the look of the wolf but are sensible enough to realise the huge impracticalities of actually keeping one.
For us the Tamaskan really is the dream come true; a wonderful, funny and sweet-natured dog in the shape of a wolf.
I suppose all that can be done is to keep vetting potential owners.
