|
|
Today I returned from a two day event up in Leeds where two of our Tamaskan (Kenai and Heidi) were asked to play the part of wolves along with a beautiful model from Goa (Ann Marie) who was to be Little Red Riding Hood. It was a very large world wide Japanese Company who make electronics/microchips. Please dont ask me to explain .... very complicated and even I didnt understand The two dogs and Little Red Riding Hood are to appear in worldwide trade magazines and local UK ones to promote the company. Their new product is called Okami which means Wolf in Japanese. Lots of fun photos were taken including all the Directors with the dogs in the centre pictured in front of their Depot in Leeds. It was a large convention and people had flown in from all around the world. The dogs caused a great stir and behaved themselves impeccably meeting all the guests coming in through the front entrance.
Fortunately both dogs are very people friendly as they are very used to mass fuss haha!
I didnt manage to take a single picture after taking my camera along as I was kept totally busy getting the dogs doing what was needed. However the photographer promised me he would send me a copy disc of all that had been taken. Fingers crossed that I get it and I will post some up here for you all to enjoy.
The Japanese were so impressed that they asked me if I would join them again in the future. Of course I agreed So long as the pay is just as good haha! I may be taking them over to Germany sometime later this year. |

That's great news Lynn, well done!
BTW how do you go about getting film and TV work for the dogs? _________________ You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!' |

Lynn,
Congratulations, that is wonderful and the best advertising the Tamaskan Breed could get if I may say so. It is great that your Tamaskans did well with the crowds, lights and sounds. Sounds like they were impressed with Kenai and Heidi and you and its great they want to have you back. I hope you get those pictures and get to post them here. I looking forward to seeing them.

I have never advertised my dogs for work it just comes to me I guess they find me from my website. Jenny keeps telling me I should sign up with an agent but I have never gotten around to it. I have taken these two to large events many times and generally if there are tv crews there and press photographers they invariably come over to see what the crowds are looking at and then we end up getting filmed and photographed. I think it was these two that drew you over to me at the Wag and Bone if I remember rightly? |

Thankyou. I will get the pics up just as soon as they arrive. Also I must find out what magazines the adverts will appear in. The reason the Japanese wanted the wolf lookalikes was because the wolf is top predator in Japan. Okami is Japanese for wolf and they wanted the top predator name for their company products. They have a competitor with a Linx as a logo and wanted to go one better Well thats the story I got anyhow. |

OH well done. you work your socks off, and the dogs too. Look forwrd to seeing the photos. Perhaps an agent might well be a good idea and worth some consideration. Best wishes.x _________________ softly softly we tread the same path.....the meeting of minds. |
