I'm not sure if this has been posted somewhere else but I was looking at the Utonagan. I must admit when I read this I was very offended. But I have to ask, is there any truth to this claim?

As far as I know there was never used a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog in the Tamaskan. The only difference so far I understand is that the Tamaskan is like the utonagan a wolfdog without the wolf(and that would not be wright if there was an wolfdog with wolf in it) is that in Finland Lynn started to look more at a perticular standard and not like the Utonagan very different looks.

There was another thread inquiring about the ancestry of the Tamaskan Dog and Lynn has confirmed that neither CWD nor Sarloos was used in the creation of the Tamaskan Dog. I have seen the claim on that particular website. Upon digging up more info, I found out the site belongs to Nadia Carlyle who goes under the affix Twatha. While it is true that the TDR used to be the BIUS the rest of it is false.
She did not buy three closely related dogs from the TUS secretary, the BIUS also didn't close in 2006, it was 2005 and we have never added Czech wolfdogs to the breed.

The lady who wrote these things on her website ressurected the Utonagan Society just before we closed the BIUS, I think she was trying to defame the Tamaskan in order to promote the Utonagan and more importantly her puppy sales, as it turns out she was a puppy farmer and she was thrown off her own commitee and has now been banned from keeping dogs, its very sad that some of her pups had to be put down.

Twatha kennels is actually where Luna was rescued from, some of you will remember Luna, we had a show for her in 2008 to raise funds for her vet bills and she has recently been re-homed, through this forum.

I have emailed her before to ask her to remove this information but she refuses, it has been there for 3 years now, I would just ignore her, shes bad news.

Just to add to Jenny's post above. There were a lot of negative posts put up towards the end of 2005 and during 2006 by Nadia and her 'crew'.
Posts were put up by them and made to look like they were from lots of different people using different names and different computers etc. As Jenny said, we had left the country and they all decided to try to promote their breed by whatever means. Unfortunately people are still seeing some of these posts and believing them. Can I assure you all that there is no truth whatsoever on these sites or posts and the owners refuse to remove them as they are still struggling to sell puppies. I would also like to point out now that when Jenny and I moved across to Finland with our dogs the only people who knew EXACTLY what we were doing were ourselves! anything else would be speculation. We were not in touch, nor discussing our plans or breeding with anyone least of all the NI and Utonagan people.

If anyone wishes to know more about this subject then feel free to mail me direct. Sadly there are still today people in both breeds trying to turn potential Tamaskan purchasers against us. Thankfully it dosnt seem to be working as I get a lot of mails from people who have contacted them first and then come to me and reported what they have said. I choose to igore them all now. People will believe what they want at the end of the day.
